It is officially that TIME OF YEAR!!!  With the holiday season finishing up and a NEW YEAR approaching,   it is that time where we take a moment to reflect how Cellamix has continued to grow as the  SOUTHEAST COAST urban music & media INDUSTRY RESOURCE for the independent artist.    


The information includes a summary of the studio & audio/video production company known as c e l l a m i x.


We have had great 2011 YEAR that ended in the BLACK (always a good thing ha) thanks to our dedicated and growing Southeast Coast clientele!



The Southeastern United States, colloquially referred to as the Southeast, is the EASTERN portion of the Southern United States. By definition we have extended the term to Southeast COAST to include the population of independent urban artists along the Southeastern coast of the United States.


The Southeast Coast®  region as defined by Census AND Cellamix is comprised of  The Carolinas (North Carolina & South Carolina)  Florida, Georgia, Arkansas, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky and West Virginia

Specifically for hip hop -- the SEC/Cellamix branded Southeast Coast ®

"SOUND" is loosely defined as a BLEND of grass roots Southeastern culture 

with traditional EAST Coast influences upon a new generation resulting in that

Southeast East Coast sound of Hip Hop Soul.  Commercial examples of this sound would be J. Cole or Wale, but since the MUSIC is so diverse in the SEC by various producers and independent labels -- we will NOT qualify the meaning of SOUL even traditionally. You just know it when you hear it and even better you will FEEL it.

For further clarification we no longer get into East vs West down here -- though there are DIFFERENCES in style and production, cellamix says "IT IS ALL HIP HOP TO ME." whether you rhyme, rap, spit or flow.  Cellamix ear is the ear of HIP HOP crafted from the greats, from conscious to not so conscious, from the commercial to the underground.  Great music will always be great music.

Our stance on content is we support C4C4life and as an INDUSTRY RESOURCE we also support freedom of expression and speech.  If lyrical content reflects reality whether it is satire or thought provocation, if the MUSIC makes you THINK and an ARTIST SONG can make something CHANGE then that is artistic value in itself.  If you don't like the content then do not play it -- you have a mouse so CLICK IT off.  PARENTS monitor your kids, it all begins #InTheHome

Cellamix Productions is now producing a reality-based TV show in Raleigh, taking over executive production of a show that airs three times weekly with a base reach of 120,000 viewers.

Also try reversing the vocal, running it through a reverb and then reversing the two so that they're normal again, the reverb acts the opposite way to lead-in to the vocal and, used VERY lightly on the very first word, can have some silky and pleasing results.
